Counseling and Consultation by a Board Certified Doctor of Audiology
In 2022, we launched the first tiny house hearing clinic on wheels to the world. It was designed to mobilize full hearing services to facilities in underserved areas that serve individuals who may be susceptible to hearing loss. Shortly after, Tiny House Hearing, Inc. was established to provide non-profit services to the community. MEET OUR FOUNDER
Dr. Carla Smiley, Au.D, CCC-A, FNAP
National Board-Certified Audiologist
Dr. Carla Smiley, affectionately known as Brandi by family and friends, was diagnosed with bilateral hearing loss by an educational audiologist at the age of six. That audiology visit would forever change her life. She knew at such a young age that she wanted to be an audiologist when she grew up.

Dr. Smiley is a graduate of Northside High School in Warner Robins, GA, and acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University in 2001. She later pursued her doctoral studies in clinical audiology at Nova Southeastern University, graduating with high distinction in 2006. In 2022, Dr. Smiley received her certificate in Women's Entrepreneurship from the Bank of America and Cornell University Women's Entrepreneurship Program.

Dr. Smiley’s years as an audiologist have afforded her many opportunities within various audiology sectors, including education, public health, the Veterans Health Administration, and the Department of Defense.

Dr. Smiley has traveled to various countries, including Serbia, Honduras, Romania, and India, participating in international missions. These experiences contributed to her dreams of mobilizing audiology services to the hard-to-reach and underserved worldwide.

Dr. Smiley is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and the American Academy of Audiology. She is licensed to practice in the state of Georgia. Dr. Smiley is also a distinguished fellow of the National Academies of Practice, and she serves on the Service Project Sub-Committee. She is a Convention Co-Chair for the 2025 ASHA Convention, a member of the Georgia Head Start Association, and was newly appointed as the ASHA Georgia Representative for the Committee of Ambassadors for the 2024-2026 term.
